Happy mail and thrift store finds!

Yesterday was Alaska Day!  Since it was Alaska day Dan had the day off so we did our usual rounds when we are off together.  We went to town and checked the mail then went to the Salvation Army.  I found a few things worthy of mentioning on here.  I found the three bowls I was missing to make a complete set of the butter print cinderella pyrex bowls, two vintage kimono infant shirts, and a vintage winter themed sweater.  I also found a few other baby items and a few vintage pillows.
I already had the larger one of this set so now I have a complete set!

A week or so ago I ordered this chair!  It finally arrived today....  Since I am still trying to oragnize/arrange my living room it just gets to sit in the corner with Dan's junk and Jack's toys.
new chair!
Also, I wanted to touch on something that has been bothering me.  So, one of the biggest negatives of being pregnant is all the unsolicited parenting advice you get from people you know and people you don't know.  People are talking to me as if I am some sort of idiot that doesn't know about safety or anything else for that matter.  I was actually warned of this when I first got pregnant and I didn't think it would be so bad or bother some.  ugh.

I love that sweater.

And i know what you mean about unwanted parenting advice. It was really driving me up the wall... I have finally come to terms with that I just have to smile and nod and know deep down that the parenting is up to God, my husband, and I.

You need to be careful when puting together chairs and thrifting..after all, you are pregnant...and my precious belongings are not JUNK.
XOXOXO

I love that chair! You found some great stuff at the Salvation Army! The only day I can go are Saturdays and it seems like all the good stuff has already been picked through :-(

Yep, just smile and say Thanks for the advice! The worst thing anyone ever said to me was that morning sickness was only due to sin! This said when she had none and I was losing lots of weight because of being so sick. HA! Miss you; see you Sunday! Mom E

i always love seeing your finds. i think i'm gonna have to steal your idea and start doing that.

ps... i have TONS of advice.. for dealing with advice giving people. just say "thanks mom" and they'll get the hint real fast. "thanks dad" also works with the men folk. i say it all the time.. and give you leave to use it as much as possible.

Well, here's some advice from Dad.

Keep doing what your doing, it's working just fine.

And thanks Mom and thanks Dad is good advice unless, of course, your talking to ME LOL

Love ya.
