week 30

So, here I am at week 30 and I have a horrible cold, the second one since becoming pregnant.  There is seriously nothing I like less than being sick and pregnant at the same time.  I hate feeling miserable and not being able to take a thing for it.  Sorry about all the complaining.
Other than being sick the pregnancy is still going smoothly.  The baby moves like crazy in there and the movements are becoming more pronounced.  The baby is also very responsive if you poke or push on my belly.

baby center:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

How far along? 30 weeks

"Waist" measurement: 38 inches still

Total weight gain/loss? 15 pounds

Stretch marks? absolutely none (yet!).

Sleep? with a cold and being pregnant, pretty much non-exsistant

Movement? all the time

Food cravings/aversions?  None

Gender? Its a surprise.

Labor signs? I have been having the normal Braxton Hicks contractions.  They are interesting.

Belly button in/out? Complete outty

What I miss the most right now: Not having a cold

What I am looking forward to: Getting over this cold.

i hope you are feeling better soon!

i'll be 40 weeks on wednesday, and as much as i'm ready for this kiddo to come out, i have come down with a horrible sinus infection this weekend. and i really don't want to be in labor for that!
