So today, like any other day, I went to the thrift store. I went a little later than usual, I normally go straight after work but I did a few other errands before I went today. Once I got there a truck pulled up with a bunch of furniture in it. I looked around for a while and didn't really come across anything too special. As I was leaving they started to unload the truck, lucky for my the person unloading it was a customer of mine and was nice enough to tell me I was about to miss some super cool retro furniture. So of course I stayed and waited for them to start pulling stuff out of the truck. They pulled a cool retro dining set out of the truck, sadly it was too big for my little kitchen. Then they pulled out this hutch, I ran inside and put my name on it right away! I love it, I am still brainstorming about where to put it. Also I want to paint it, mustard yellow?

more from yesterday.
It was still pretty nice and warm out once Dan got home from work so we took Jack for a walk on his favorite little trail. The Airport Dike Trail, its kind of lame at first but once you walk for a few minute you have unlimited access to open wetlands. Jack loves to just run, run, run out there. Not to mention its a pretty sweet spot to catch some late day sunlight.Jack waiting for us to get our stuff together for the wetlands
sooo cute....
ha. look at his facial expression in the middle photo.
Today was also a beautiful day out, I worked in the morning then after Dan and I went on a motorcycle ride with Dans parents. On the ride Dan and I hit a dog on our motorcycle, lucky for the dog and us the outcome was fine. The dog walked away and we drove away! I found myself during the whole thing feeling more scared for the dogs safety then ours. ha. weird. I really do love dogs though. I think I feared for the dog more because I believe my husband has really good motorcycle driving capabilities. After that happen we went and showed the bikes off downtown and drove up and down the steep hills looking at the strangely large number of houses for sale. We then headed over to Douglas and had some lunch...I had a jalapeno burger with onion rings, it was delicious. Now I am home and tired, from getting up at 5am, and Dan is over at a friends house doing motorcycle things.
and I leave you with this
how in the world did that cat get up there?

Kitchen shelves
I have been wanting shelves in the kitchen, to display all my favorite things, for some time now. I was finally able to drag Dan away from motorcycles to help me install them! I love them. We went and bought a 12 inch wide 8 foot long chunk of wood, from Home Depot, brought it home sanded it and cut it in half.
I'm excited to finally have a place to display my random treasures of vintage Pyrex, Dansk and Cathrineholm enamelware, and others. I haven't figured out exactly how I want to arrange it, I still want to be able to use all this stuff!
I am thinking I might need a more neutral color on this wall now.

Finished tattoo.
Yesterday I finally went in and had my sleeve finished. All the work was done in the ditch and elbow area. It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, I think working myself up work out to my benefit. The worst part was in inner most part of the ditch and around to my elbow, that is some sensitive skin there. Every time the needle would go over that spot I would feel pain in my left side. haha. Anyway I made it threw like a champ, no whining. But my arm is swollen twice its normal size and it hard to bend (cause its so fat). Anyway I am super happy it is finally done now I can move onto different ideas. (picture to come soon)

new camera, new photos (photo heavy)
Here are some of the photo's I have been able to capture with my new camera! My favorite mode to use so far is Manual.
Random things in my house:
Landscape and People:
I love this picture of my husband, he is always smiling.
This is the arch my husband and I got married under 2 years ago this May. Its still there, I wonder if it'll still be there when our great-grandchildren are around, hope so!
the boat bench we got at a garage sale today!
the free chair we got at a garage sale today, I love free stuff.

today
I got my new camera in the mail on Friday and have been messing around and getting familar with it since. I have been taking multiple pictures of the same thing with different setting just to get the feel of how it all works. So far I like it, I am sure once I figure it out completely I will LOVE it.
Today Dan and I went to garage sales and made out OK. The first one we went to was pretty good I got an old sewing kit with all sorts of vintage thread, zippers, patches, ribbon, needles etc... I also got an old framed embroidery that says "Easy does it". Dan got a harmonica and a bunch of random guy stuff. The second one we went to we got an old boat bench, which is just what we needed for our entry. The thrid one was an estate sale which had tons of AMAZING stuff, my sister-in-law lives down the street from where it was and ended up getting there in time to score some really great mod/retro shelves and record cases. As much as I wish I made it there to get them instead of her I am happy she got them. You should see her house, I LOVE IT, very inspiring. Anyway at the estate sale we didn't buy anything but ended up getting a pretty cool vintage Biltwell rocking arm chair.
Ill be back soon with some picture from my new camera.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter!
Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.
1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...
