When I was in JR. High School I promised myself I would NEVER paint my nails again. I came to this decision because I hated, hated, hated the way nail polish looks when chipped on nails. I hated the way it looks on me and the way it look on everyone else. I never wanted to be 'the girl with chipped nail polish' haha, funny when I think about it now. "The girl with chipped nail polish" sounds like a bad book name. Anyway, the other day I was at the store and was checking out the nail polish and decided I would give painted nail another try. I chose RED, cause well red nails just sounded AWESOME. I painted them and I love them. I feel sad that I let myself go through the past 12 years without painted nails.

So much beauty everywhere.
I has been so nice out the past few days. So strange it being February, 40+ degrees out and sunny. I am enjoying it. After work Jack and I went out to Auke Rec. walked out to point Louisa and sat in the sunshine. With just a sweater on and the sun shining on me it felt like July. As much as I would like it to snow and actually be winter I have to admit this weather is very welcome.
Yesterday Dan and I went on a walk together, for the first time in a long time. I love doing healthy outdoor activities with my husband. We went out to the Auke Bay harbor area and took a stroll on the beach. The sun was shining but the air was still pretty brisk and the fog was sitting out on the water.
Haha! I know my husband looks like a blind person in this picture (transition lenses). But I love the picture.
I was peeking around in blog world today and came across a super cute Valentine story a husband did for his wife. You can read about it by clicking the picture below.
Ok, sorry for the loooong post but I can't resist sharing this absolutely adorable picture with you. A kitten with a cast, it can not get much cuter than that.

Wisdom teeth and Valentines Day
So last Friday I had my wisdom teeth removed. It was a longer than expected recovery but I was able to return to work today! My regular customers were happy to see me and were glad I was feeling better. My jaw, cheeks and remaining teeth still ache quite a bit. But nothing compared to a few days ago. I am happy to be on the better side of recovery.
Thankfully today was another beautiful day, in the lower 40s. I really can't believe its February 18th and it hasn't snowed a single day this month. So strange. Anyway, today I got Jack out for a much needed walk. We went out to Auke Rec. and it was just gorgeous.
Oh yeah, Valentines Day was Sunday. Unfortunately Sunday was my worst day for pain so we didn't really do much. I stayed home from Church, for obvious reasons, and Dan went. I stayed in bed until around 11:30 when I decided I couldn't handle laying there for another minute. So I got up and situated myself on the couch and cuddled with Jack until Dan got home. He got home at 12:30 and suprised me with a sweet 'Get Well Soon' card that he also passed as a Valentine card and a wonderfully scented assortment of flowers. I was most surprised to find out he purchased all this the day before! He is normally a 'wait till the last minute' kind of guy. Since I wasn't up for anything Dan sat and watched movie after movie with me all day! What a sweet guy. I love him so.

Winter?
Sad to say it, but this winter has been very strangely SNOWLESS. Its February and there's no snow and the other day it was 47 degrees out. I am curious what the spring will bring, since we are having spring weather right now. The lack of snow on the ground is making it hard to even think about snowboarding. According to my sub-contentious mind snowboarding isn't going on right now. There is snow up there, but not good snow. Not the snow I like to snowboard in at least. Anyway, I am enjoying the nice warm sunny days that have been coming out. I just hope this means we are in for a nice warm summer!
