a glimpse of spring

 Today we woke up to a beautiful day of sunshine and above 40 degree temps.  Once we were fed and dressed we headed out the door to take advantage of this little treat.  It was so pleasant out you'd almost forget it was February.  Walking down the trail with the sun shining on my face and the warmish breeze blowing was defiantly a welcome glimpse of spring.  

 The weather is sour pretty often here and can surely break you down and make you focus on all the things you hate about living here.  I often find myself obsessing over moving to a slightly warmer climate that has more sunshine than rain.  I even go as far as looking for houses to buy and jobs for my husband to apply for.  But when I wake up to days like today those thoughts are quickly forgotten and all I can think about is how lucky and blessed I am to live in such an amazingly beautiful place.

 Yesterday it was nice again and since my skin feels burnt Ruby and I stayed home and hung out in the shady part of the yard!

Memorial Day..

 ..the weather was uh-mazing!  After celebrating my nephews birthday (post about that below) a bunch of us headed out to the boyscout beach.  Its a beautiful, long, sandy beach at the end of a forest walk.  Its days like those that make me really appreciate where I live!

 Today it was beautiful and in the 50s so after church Dan, my dad, Dans mom and sister and I went for a stroll downtown with the dogs.  My dad recently bought me a stroller online and it is the same one Hannah has for her kids.  Mine is not here yet so Hannah let me tests hers out!  It was Ruby's first stroller ride ever and she seemed to like it!!

 We walked on the docks and then made our way through town up to Rainbow Foods.  We all got frozen fruit pops, accept my dad he got a bunch of carrots, and ate them in the sunshine.

 Once we finally got home Ruby was starving so i nursed her and change her diaper!

Which she was super thankful for!!
